Other Title: Priscilla, queen of the desert Produced with the assistance and financial participation of the NSW Film and Television Office This comedy drama is about the adventures of two drag queens, Mitzi and Felicia, and a transsexual, Bernadette who hit the road in a bus called Priscilla. They make their way across the Australian desert to perform in a cabaret show in Alice Springs. Throughout the course of the journey they paint their bus pink, dance around madly in the most flamboyant costumes and run into Aboriginals and a bunch of thugs amongst others. The music consists mostly of seventies disco hits (Village People, Abba etc.) A feature film from Australia. A comedy about the adventures of two drag queens and a transsexual who make their way across the Australian desert in a bus called Priscilla, to perform a cabaret show in Alice Springs.
