Summary: In the spare bedroom of a house perched on the side of the Wairoa River, just outside the small northland town of Dargaville, Uncle Silo hides an ancient secret. An insidious force in the form of a tentacled shadow-creature and guided by the mysterious Master, has imprisoned two young children within a painted mural. When young Rosie discovers the true nature of the painting the sinister forces within threaten to overwhelm her. Suggested level: secondary
